He is also a combat and martial arts practitioner since 1978. Robert Silva is a Master Electrician with more than twenty years of Residential and Commercial experience. He also holds several certifications including Low Voltage Wiring, EPA RRP and OSHA 30. Dianne St. Laurent has been knitting since she was nine years old, taught by her grandmother. She opened her own Yarn Shop which she ran for twenty-eight years and has taught for over twenty-five years in many night school programs. Kelly St. John-Rodriguez is a certified teacher in both ESL and in English. She is a second language learner herself and an avid traveler. Mark Stone has been in the construction industry since 1989. He specializes in interior trim, including custom kitchens and built-ins. Mary Ellen Streeton is a scientist with over twenty years of experience who loves to experiment in the garden and kitchen. She was raised in a suburban farm where she learned all about harvesting and preserving, and has been making her own jellies and jams ever since. Ken Stukonis, Automotive Collision Technology lead teacher at Assabet Valley, is the head football coach for Assabet Valley and has coached football for the last fifteen years. Linda Sullivan RN. CMC, co-owner of ElderCare Resource Services, is a certified Aging Life Care Professional/Geriatric Care Manager with over thirty five years of experience working with the geriatric population. Linda has worked in the hospital setting, long term care, and hospice settings. JoAnn Szymczak, GRI, CRS, SRES, earned a B.S. in Education and is a graduate of Realtor® Institute. JoAnn is a Realtor with RE/MAX Advantage 1. She has thirty-six years of experience as a practicing Real Estate Broker and has worked as an appraiser and as an appraisal instructor. Anne Testoni, PhD has been training and competing with her dogs in a wide range of canine sports for more than twenty-five years. Her Spectrum Basset Hounds have earned multiple titles in dog shows and in obedience, agility and rally trials and she is currently trianing her dogs for tracking tests and field trials. Anne holds leadership roles in Concord Dog Training Club, Wachusett Kennel Club, an the Basset Hound Club of America. Gary Thurston earned his B.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University in Waltham, MA. He has been working in accounting for over thirty years in both public and private sectors. Gary is also part of a team of trainers providing top quality CPR, AED and first aid instruction and is a Certified American Heart Association Instructor and a Certified American Red Cross Instructor. Chef Louis Trudeau, a graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, worked as Executive Chef for over twenty-one years for Marriott Hotels. He returned to Assabet in 2003 to share his talents as an instructor in the Culinary Arts Shop. Monika Turek is a web designer with a passion for baking and decorating cookies. She grew up in Hungary where Christmas gingerbread making is a popular tradition. Monika likes to teach others how to be creative with different icing techniques when baking homemade cookies. Ed Urbanowski has a Commercial Pilot’s Certificate with both Instrument and Instructor Ratings and has over 14,000 hours of flight time. He is also a Gold Seal Flight Instructor and both Basic and Advanced Instrument Ground Instructor. In addition, Ed has both an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic Certificate and is the owner of Urban Aviation Services, Inc. Mary Vadakekalam was born and brought up in India . She has a BA in Fine Arts from India and she travels back and forth. She is passionate about cooking and has taught Indian cooking in the Millis and Dover Sherborn Adult Education programs. Kelly Viera served as the Girls Varsity Tennis Coach at Hopedale High School for seven seasons and holds a coaching record of 109-38. Throughout her coaching tenure, her teams achieved four league titles, one district title, and a state final bid. She is an MIAA certified coach and has served as an assessor for college recruitment showcases. Brian Walden is the Executive Director of Vegetable Circus, a nutritional movement arts program that explores eating, moving, and living healthy. Kim Walker has spent the last ten years as a hands-on LEAN practitioner in both manufacturing and health care organizations. She is LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt. Lu Weisberger is multi-lingual and has many years of experience teaching ESL in language programs in Europe and the United States. She also teaches ESL in the QCC-Adult Basic Education program. Lu uses the communicative method inviting students to be actively involved in the language learning process by working in pairs or small groups to maximize speaking practice. Karen Calise Woeller has twenty-five years experience in the field of health and wellness. She is an experienced massage therapist, polarity therapist, RYSE practitioner, raw food lifestyle coach and hypnotist. Felipe Zamora is a UMass Lowell graduate with a degree in graphic design and an active member of the Metrowest Art Community; participating in shows at the Fountain St. Art Studios and Green Marlborough.
