26 Sports Sports Archery Discover the world of recurve archery this fall and immerse yourself in this Zenlike experience. Traditional wooden takedown bows allow the archer to concentrate on the shot process in order to achieve consistent scoring results. Participants will learn the fundamentals and test their skills by competing in a series of unique challenges and archery games designed to improve accuracy. You will be eligible to compete in the annual On the Mark Archery invitational tournament in October.  This course will be led by two certified USA Archery and National Field Archery Association (NFAA) instructors. We will break down the fundamental building blocks learned in the introductory course and replace them with a technical step-by-step repeatable method to score tighter, more consistent shot groupings on the target. You will learn and practice the basics of sailing (including safety, knots, rigging, steering, trimming sail, and landing) in our safe and stable White 14’s and under the watchful eyes of our trained instructors. If you choose to become a member, you may apply for helmsman certification.  All the information you need is included in this course, although 4-6 hours of additional practice is recommended. This course is held at beautiful Quinsigamond State Park under the auspices of Regatta Point Community Sailing. You need to be a capable swimmer and should wear rubber soled sneakers or athletic shoes.
