How to use your OnAccount Credit
1. Sign into your Assabet After Dark Account. Email info@assabetafterdark.com if you need login assistance OR you can call the office and we can register you for the class and apply the OnAccount Credit for you.
2. Once you login, you will see your OnAccount balance listed under MyAccount HOME. In this example, there is a $100 OnAccount Credit.
3. Select the class you want and add it to your cart.
4. Your OnAccount message will appear at the top of your screen:
“Your account currently shows a credit of $### that can be used toward purchases for your account listed in the cart. The OnAccount Payments will automatically be deducted from your payment amount upon Checkout. To use your credit for another person, contact the office for assistance. Click the Recalculate button to activate your OnAccount Payments.“
5. Press the Recalculate button.
If your OnAccount Credit is more than what is owed, then you will pay nothing and have the balance of the OnAccount Credit.
If your OnAccount Credit is less than what is owed, then you will need to pay the balance of the course fee minus the OnAccount Credit.
6. Press Checkout button to complete the enrollment.

How do I know if my class is cancelled?
Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances Assabet After Dark must cancel a class. You will be notified by email.
Cancelled classes are made up (same day of week and time) by extending the end date of the course, unless other arrangements are made between the instructor and the class and approved by the director.
When the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School closes due to snow conditions, weather, or emergency events, in-person evening classes are also cancelled.
During weather events: Look for the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School cancellation notice on the stations listed below or on the home page of our website. In the event day classes are not cancelled and the weather worsens, if a decision to cancel evening classes is made, it will be relayed to the following television stations by 4:00 PM (if evening classes are going to be held as usual, there will be no notice): WBZ-TV, WCVB-TV, FOX 25-TV.

Instructor-Led Online Courses
Get Ready for your class
What you need-
- An Email Address
- An internet connection (Broadband, 3G, or 4G/LTE)
- A computer, laptop, or tablet with – speakers, microphone, & web camera (built-in or attached via USB/Bluetooth)
While you can use a smartphone to join our Zoom classes, it is not ideal as you may find it difficult to see presentations and interact with your instructor/classmates.

Access to your Instructor-Led Online Course
The Zoom invite for Instructor-Led Online courses is emailed to registered students on the start date of the course, several hours prior to the start time. The subject line of the email is After Dark Zoom Invite. Plan to join your class at least 5-10 minutes before the start time to ensure you are ready when the class begins.
Evaluate your Online Class
You will receive an email the day after your last class from info@assabetafterdark.com with After Dark Course Evaluation as the subject line. This email contains a link to your course evaluation form. There is no need to login to your account. We are very interested to hear about your online course experience.
What are the scheduled NO CLASS dates?
Assabet After Dark will not hold classes on the following dates:
- October 12, 2020 (Columbus Day)
- November 11, 2020 (Veteran’s Day)
- November 25-26, 2020 (Thanksgiving)
- December 24, 2020 (Winter Break)
- December 31, 2020 (New Year’s Eve)
Can students under 18 register for classes?
Students must be 18 years of age or older by the start date of the class unless otherwise stated in the course description.

General Guidelines

3. Silence all cell phones and communication devices
- Do not hold conversations with others while the class is in progress
- Pay attention to the instructor
- Your presence adds to the learning community in the classroom
4. Disruptions and unprofessional behavior which may result in expulsion from class and forfeiture of payment include, but are not limited to:
- Physical or verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, sexual harassment, bullying, coercion, and/or other conduct which threatens or endangers the health or safety of any person.
- Physical altercations.
- Attempted or actual theft of and/or damage to personal or public property.
- Violation of federal, state, or local law on premises, including but not limited to the following:
- Use, possession or distribution of narcotic or other controlled substances
- Illegal or unauthorized possession of firearms, explosives, other weapons, or dangerous chemicals.
- Intoxication, use, possession or distribution of alcoholic beverages.
- Use of tobacco in any form on school property. Tobacco products are defined as any product or substance containing tobacco include smoking and chewing items.

Certificates and Course Credit
Unless otherwise specified, all Assabet After Dark courses are non-college credit, non-graded courses.
Parking
Adequate parking for students is provided in designated parking areas. Please do not park in front of shop doors or in the circular driveway in front of the main entrance.
Smoke-Free School
The Assabet Valley Regional Vocational School is a smoke free school. This includes use of all tobacco products in school buildings and buses, on school grounds, or at off-campus work sites by students, school personnel and visitors.
