300 Hour Program
Just 19 Weeks
Fall & Spring
Semester Classes
|
Esthetics is a rapidly emerging profession which specializes in skin and body care. As an Esthetician, you’ll learn how to enhance the beauty of a client’s skin. A Certificate of Esthetics is awarded at completion of the 300 hour program. Because of the increased popularity of facials, body treatments, and European type spas, as well as the growth of full-service salons, many cosmetologists are returning to school to get their license in esthetics.
|
What You Should Know About Esthetics and Skin Care:
- Never has the beauty business enjoyed a more profitable and rewarding period.
- The demand for estheticians is high because many hair salons are making the transition to full-service salons offering hair, nail and skin care services.
- Because of the trend toward full-service salons, many cosmetologists are returning to school to get licenses in manicuring and esthetics.
- If you love helping people and are thinking of a career change or a second career, consider becoming an esthetician.
- Many esthetician graduates walk into a salon and contract to provide skin and body care. They set up their own space within the salon, set their own rates, pay a rental fee and become in effect a subcontractor within the salon. The salon owner in return is able to provide the additional retail services and retail sales offered by an esthetician.
