S14DA01 - Beginner Belly Dancing
Belly dancing, with its exciting and exotic music and its slow, sensual, and graceful movements, allows you to express different emotions. Belly dancing is great for stretching and flexibility and a fun way to work your stomach, legs, and arms while burning calories.
Note: Comfortable clothing should be worn. Please do not wear sneakers or rubber-soled shoes.
Gypsy Phillips has been teaching belly dancing for over 35 years and has completed Master classes and workshops from many well-known belly dancers. She also performs with her troupe, “The Velvet Moon Gypsies”.

S14DA02 - Intermediate Belly Dancing
This class is for anyone who already has experience working with combinations and veils and has the knowledge of all the basic hip movements. It will concentrate on more of the stomach movements including undulations, belly rolls, flutters, and vibrations. We’ll also do some choreography and work with props including veils, tambourines, canes, and finger cymbals.
Note: Comfortable clothing should be worn. Please do not wear sneakers or rubber-soled shoes.

S14DA04 - Beginners Swing (for Couples)
This course will introduce you to the six and eight step swing. The eight step is sometimes referred to as triple step swing. Most of the steps and arm movements can also be applied to freestyle dancing. You’ll learn the basic rhythm, tucks, underarm turns, single and double turns and more! We will also work on improving your “lead and follow” dance skills, connection, and musicality.
Steele Shane has been dancing and teaching for over 19 years. He is currently the Director of Dance Programs at the Longfellow Club in Wayland, MA.

S14DA08 - Line Dancing Basics
Hate to exercise, but like to dance? Line dancing is a fun way to do it all AND relieve your stress at the same time. This beginner’s class will show you how it’s done, step-by-step. You’ll learn the most popular line dances along with the classics, focusing mostly on country. Precise and patient instruction will be supplemented with a step sheet for every dance. Bring water!
Mary Dragon was born into a military family where traveling allowed for dance instruction at various studios. She made the switch over to line dancing in 1995 and became the choreographer and dancer with the Country Kickers Dance Team in 1996.
Course fee includes a Line Dance Party with a DJ on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

S14DA09 - Line Dancing After the Basics
This class brings line dancing to another level with popular, but slightly harder, line dances from country and oldies to pop, rock and blues. This session is upper beginner/easy intermediate and more progressive than the Basics class. Students should be familiar with most line dance terms. One upper intermediate dance will be introduced. Bring water!

S14DA12 - Salsa for Beginners
In this beginner class, you will learn the basic moves of Salsa including the basic rhythm, underarm turns, cross body leads, and more! We’ll also work on improving your “lead and follow” dance skills, connection, and musicality.
Note: If you have dance shoes, great; if not, any shoe with a low heel that is secure on your foot and that slides along the floor will work.

Walk on to the dance floor relaxed, confident and ready to have fun dancing to a variety of music. With our Level One class, you will be introduced to the foxtrot, hustle, waltz, tango, and swing in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Join us and put some fun into your Saturday nights - get out and dance!

S14DA14 - Saturday Nite Dancing for Fun: Level Two (for Couples)
Okay, so you’ve got the “happy feet” affliction, but if you don’t really consider yourself an “intermediate” ballroom and swing dancer and you don’t want to take Level One over again, we’ve got the cure - Level Two!

S14DA15 - Saturday Nite Dancing for Fun: Level Three (for Couples)
Learn intermediate salsa, swing, lindy, rhumba, foxtrot, waltz, tango, hustle, cha-cha, merengue, and others. This Level Three class is an extension of Levels One and Two, allowing for more free dance with personal instruction and more combinations of moves.
