13SCRB01 - Cosmetology - Spring 2013
Cosmetology is a creative, challenging and growing profession offering endless employment opportunities. Cosmetologists are masters of color, line, texture, movement and dimension. Money Magazine ranks Hairstyling & Cosmetology as one of America’s “50 Hottest Jobs”. Why the demand? One reason is that more women are paying for shampoos, styling, perms, highlighting, manicures, facials and other esthetic treatments.
If you like independence, being creative, and working with people, this is the career for you. Being a licensed Cosmetologist opens doors in many related careers - all offering solid earning potential. If you’re entrepreneurial, you can run your own business. According to the National Cosmetology Association, one out of every four Cosmetologists owns their own salon and that number is projected to grow.
Compare prices before you enroll! Private Cosmetology schools in the Greater MetroWest and Boston area charge between $9,500 and $12,000. Why pay $5,000 more than necessary for your Cosmetology license? All Cosmetology schools are required to follow the 1,000 hour curriculum established by the Massachusetts State Board of Cosmetology.
Assabet has been training successful Cosmetologists for over thirty years. 95% of our students have been successfully employed upon graduation.
