Program Objectives

Our objectives in this 1000 hour licensing program are threefold:

1. We will give you personalized training necessary for a successful cosmetology career.
   
2. We will prepare you to pass the state licensing exam.
   
3. We will teach you every aspect of cosmetology. We place 98% of our students into new jobs.

Class Organization

The Cosmetology program consists of 1000 hours. The curriculum is established by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Hairdressers. Your first 300 hours will be spent primarily in the classroom learning theory, watching demonstrations, working with mannequins, and with other cosmetology students. The final 700 hours will focus on real-world work with customers in an authentic clinic setting under the supervision and guidance of experienced instructors.

Class Schedule

Classes meet 4 evenings per week, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Fall 2010 Term begins Monday, September 20, 2010. Students must be at least 18 years of age to attend.

Cosmetology Tuition

1000 Hour Program: $5,500 (includes $100 non-refundable registration fee)

For information on different payment plans and Federal Financial Aid programs, call the Continuing Education Department and ask for an application package. If you have access to a printer, you may print the application package from our online site and send it to the provided address. Click here for the online application package. Students who elect to pay for the entire tuition by September 13, 2010, will be given a 10% discount ($550).
